Always had good luck with CinC.

Frankly with some of the horrifically oversized detail on some of the GHQ minis I am tempted to file it away…

POLL DESCRIPTION

Winston Smith Supporting Member of TMP explains:

I'm a grizzled old veteran wargamer from the 1970s. Back in the day, we expected to have to spend hours on the least enjoyable part of The Hobby. That is cleaning figures before painting. It was part of the price of doing business.

I expected to spend time gouging out the space between a figure's weapon and chest. I expected to have to scrape or file heavy mold lines, to plane down sprue waste on the underside of the base, etc.

Half an hour per infantry figure? Par for the course.

Then I dropped out for about ten years. One if the first things I noticed was a vast improvement in casting quality. By an order of magnitude, at least.

I still have to do some cleaning, of course.

And then there is one range where I spent a maximum of five minutes inspecting a bag of 20 foot figures with my only pre-base work is straightening slightly bent muskets. I think I had to file one mold line on the hat.

That line is Fife and Drum 28mm AWI.

That is my choice for "Best cast line of wargaming figures." What's yours?
