POLL DESCRIPTION

Ivan DBA muses...

In reality, wood that is exposed to the elements turns gray over time.

Unfinished wood

But if you ask someone what color wood is, they are likely to answer "brown." And indeed, we wargamers frequently paint wood in various shades of brown, rather than gray.

Personally, I tend to paint wood 'brown' because, frankly, it looks better, and never mind reality.

This poll does not refer to wooden objects that in reality are painted or otherwise finished - for those, it is of course accurate to paint their miniature counterparts in the appropriate color. Rather, the focus is on unfinished wood such as fences, some buildings, crude wagons, etc.
