There are several possibilities:

1) One player always uses the same ineffective tactics – line up advance directly into fire, don't use terrain/tactics/etc., to give you an edge. Essentially the player's plan is broken.

2) The Point system is broken (as opposed to just flawed/not capable of taking all factors into the formula.)

3) The rules are broken. Often, maybe usually, the case IMO.

4) Historically that army had tremendous win records against traditional foes because they actually were superior or the whole charge chariots into pike blocks instances – which never happened historically only possible in tournaments.

5) The dice always consistently roll against the player in key situations. I know one person who regularly rolls the worst possible dice rolls when it counts no matter whose dice are in use.

Most of those scenarios can be fixed but some are harder to change/fix than others.

POLL DESCRIPTION
So you've got the ultimate "killing machine" army list developed for your next chance at a tournament. Is it wrong to use the same army in a non-competitive, "friendly" game? Or should friendly games be reserved for less-competitive armies?

(Topic inspired by the discussion on the Skared podcast, episode 5.)
