We'll alternate, so that some are high, some are low, which gives a nice look and allows ships to more easily be placed closed to each other. It also makes it easier to distinguish between ships of the same class. If big ships are in play, we'll typically mount these on two pegs and mount smaller ships on one peg so that they can fit under the large ship where it overhangs its base. |
