I like the 1/144th scale because of the amount of detail you can get on the model and still be able to have a large enough area to game on. I do have a bunch of 1/300 planes as well though.

There's been lots of threads about this, but I couldn't find a poll in the last year, so here goes:

What's your favorite scale for WWII air games?

For me, it's 1:285-1:300 due to storage space/gaming space considerations. I really like the 1:100 and 1:144 planes, but I just don't have anywhere to put them, and gaming space is also a huge problem when you consider my fondness for the big bombers (particularly B-17s).

I tried to like 1:600, but they just don't have the same visual impact on the table IMO, plus my tired old eyes have a lot of trouble distinguishing aircraft types when they're that small, both of which have combined to cause me to give up on 1:600.

So, what's your favorite?
