I'll not comment on the issue other than to reiterate that the editors are quite capable of deciding when lines are crossed and acting accordingly. In the mean time, if troubled by what is there, you can certainly choose to not read those posts. You can stifle anyone, including (and for some) especially me. You can ignore individuals whose threads you don't like.

I also disagree with K Travlos' statements on qualification to comment. I'd agree if we were proposing specific scientific evidence for consideration. We aren't. As I've stated elsewhere and a number of times, you do not need to be a gourmet chef to be able to tell if your food is raw, burnt, or made with spoiled ingredients. You do not have to hold an elective office to be qualified to comment on problems with the government. You don't have to be a doctor to recognize the oft-reported practice of some men infected with AIDS in some countries that having sex with a virgin is no cure. Similarly, you do not need the quals mentioned or be a climatologist to ask questions and raise issues where action, inaction, and statements seem at odds with reality.

More than happy to abide with whatever the editor decides.

Somehow, it seems that "global warming" has come up several times on the forums (although it is not usually considered a wargaming topic…). This usually leads to chaos and anarchy.

Should discussion of global warming be banned from the TMP forums?
