6th Inf, thanks for the memory jog. The Hornblower
Companion contains a lot of Forester's 'why I wrote
what I did' input.

And thanks Lewis Cannon for the reminder about the
Parkinson book. An excellent faux biography.

And also rddfxx. Thanks for the reminder about _The Good
Shepherd_, an excellent novel of convoy duty.

Ditto _Gold From Crete_, a collection of Forester's
short stories about WWII, and the fictionalized account
he wrote of Operation Sealion.

And let us not forget Forester's non-Military/Naval
fiction. Excellent reads, all.
