Eat dinner after 11?!?!? Several times at the old FLGS, I kept an eye on things while the owner ran to get something to eat. And he chose me because I was the only regular in the store those times. A couple of the long-time regulars had keys so the owner could go home at a decent time; they'd lock up when thier game was done. It's all a matter of who you trust, though. Took 5 years of spending time there before he knew me well enough to be comfortable letting me watch the place. If you don't have on-site gaming and "paint days" (bring your project and kibitz while you work) I imagine it's a lot harder to get to know your customers well enough to be comfortable with this sort of thing. |
