I think it's a tribute to just how good a zombie movie the original Dawn of the Dead is that it is only a few votes shy of winning out against a much more modern movie with no actual zombies in it, but better acting and a very exciting initial story that then becomes lame for the last part. BTW … I used Criteria deliberately. It was far to subtle a use however. I was originally thinking of something along these lines: Criteria for being a Zombie But I changed it, and left criteria (plural) in there just for the heck of it. I do not consider voodoo zombies as zombies. As you pointed out, they don't die. They are living beings that get stoned and shuffle around a bit and smell bad. IMHO of course. YMMV as always. |

AAthebarbarian reports... OK, so I'm getting Apocalypse Z, the Mongoose Publishing zombie supplement to Battlefield Evolution: Modern War. But to get psyched about it, I figure I need to watch more zombie movies. So far, I borrowed Shaun of the Dead, which was hilarious. I was hoping for one with more action, I vaguely remember seeing a preview of one that was derived from a video game. But all suggestions gratefully received! Finalists determined by this previous poll. |
