D&D 3rd Edition. I resisted for years then gave in to my curiosity. I did give it a fair shake, buying a lot of the splat books and running a campaign that died too early. But I decided the d20 wasn't my favorite system and returned to TSR-era AD&D.

Mute Bystander Inactive Member wonders:

What rule set/war game have you experienced the most radical reversal of opinion about as a wargamer?

I was going through the basement and came across a later edition of Empire! That reminded me of how much my opinions of what constitutes a great or a horrible wargame ruleset have changed since the early 1970s.

My wargame group fell in love with Empire back when we first started miniature wargaming. Not so much today for me.
