Maybe it's just me but I can see only a passing resemblance between WRG 6th and FoG. IMO whilst FoG are OK I'd rather play WRG 6th any day of the week.

I've been thumbing through Impetus which was a Christmas present from my wife and for me its success will be that it doesn't look and feel like reading through a Haines car manual!!!! It seems fairly easy to find stuff in there which is always a plus when gaming. My wonderful wife bought me one of the supplements as well and that's a good read too.

I also feel that the player base is growing slowly but steadily so the signs look good. I can't wait to try them.

POLL DESCRIPTION

Writing in Slingshot 269, Mike Brian gives "a BIG thumbs up" to the Impetus ruleset, then lists what he calls the "main pros" for Impetus:

  • not many figures needed
  • big battles can be finished in an evening
  • good website support
  • well-written rules
  • trial ("Basic") version is free
  • suitable for multiple players per side

Which of these do you find most appealing about Impetus?
