Reader Rules systems such as Warhammer Ancient Battles require players to account for their army size and mix using a points system, and many scenarios only pit evenly-matched armies against each other. Some players find this enjoyable because the outcome of the battle theoretically depends on the skill of the player rather than the quantity or quality of the armies. Other players find that, historically, armies are mismatched more often than not, and attempt to judge the outcome based upon comparison with history. What proportion of your games are set up based on points? |
