As a relative new comer to miniature wargaming, I'd like to see more "points" in my battle report. I wouldn't expect the battle report to make me an expert player, only time pushing miniatures around will do that, but I think I could be exposed to examples of play and tactics that I would not ordinarily see in my local gaming area. That is a worthwhile thing, because it exposes new ideas to people that are newer to the hobby.

...if there is one thing that all battle reports have, it's the description of the battle. However...a battle report is also a magazine article, and magazine articles really need to have a point. To put this another way, a good battle report needs to illustrate a specific point, not just be the description of the game that was played.
