Thanks, Nightgaunt. That is what I thought. To arbitrarily sprinkle black soldiers in with whites would be historically inaccurate. If black soldiers are to be represented in an ACW force, they should be part of a segregated regiment. Sad, but accurate. My ACW forces are based on the order of battle at Gettysburg (no, I don't have every regiment painted...only about 1/5 of them at this point) so I don't have any black soldiers painted. I do have miniatures painted to represent a variety of ethnic groups in my Viet Nam and Modern Era (Gulf War I & II) miniatures, because that is historically accurate. |
