I love PKD. And after reading a couple of novels, get bored with him for a year, then read a couple more. Valis changed my life- I read it at the right time of my life, right after a divorce, and the ideas in it caused me to see the world in a different light. The "spiritual trilogy," of Valis and The Transmigration of Timothy Archer and The Divine Invasion are an excellent meditation on a theme. And I hope some day to figure out what that theme is. I also enjoy "Flow my tears, the policemen said." |
