Well, I'm not so sure about the gaming aspect of it, but I think the seeds for my toy soldier pewter-plastic addiction were sown in 1982, when at the age of 5 my Mum bought me my first Star Wars figure… I collected action figures 'till I was 14 (mainly Action Force/Gi Joe), and I think there's part of me which is still that small boy who simply loves to get new toys to play with… I rediscovered wargaming miniatures at the age of 22 (having dabbled briefly as an adolescent), and my addiction seems to intensify, not abate, with each passing year, ha!
