Thomas Whitten writes:

Helmets as needed in Sci-fi.

40k is a different duck. Reality is pretty skewed in 40k. Perhaps characters have extra enhancements that make helmets superfluous. Perhaps whatever is giving them an invulnerable save lets them operate without a helmet. The game rules confer no in game bonus for helmets. So having them or not is purely aesthetics.

POLL DESCRIPTION

Frederick Supporting Member of TMP wonders:

This is a question that I have wondered about for some time so, say, you are a genetically modified/tech enhanced super soldier (like a Space Marine) you have power armor, the best weapons and as you get ready to charge into combat, the first thing you do is take off your helmet?

Poll set up by Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian, based on this pre-poll discussion.
