I love it. When I have so much as an inkling of shared interest in a subject from my game grou, i am willing to throw myself into a project with all the creative energies I can muster. I create rules, graphics, terrain, you name it. I asked my oldest gaming buddy what he wanted for his 50th birthday, and he said he wanted to play "a really big Star Wars (Miniatures Battles) battle". I built Hoth in 28mm, one-to-one. I still have it and look forward to playing it again, and I'm set up to do Endor if I thought anybody would play it.
But in between, my hobby languishes, so it's definitely a passion for me rather than an obsession; when I'm into it, I give it my all, and when I'm not, I give my all to something else.
SQUIRREL!!!

So, you've probably been told, to some degree or another, that your hobby of wargaming is an obsession, but you beg to differ, citing that it is merely a passion, like the way other people have a passion for sports, home improvement, etc.

In all truthfulness, would you consider your interest in wargaming a passion or an obsession?

For me, it's a passion, legitimized by the fact that not only have I learned a lot about history, but that I still want to learn more, and am fascinated by what I discover. I even offered my niece and nephews my help for an "easy A" when they were in school. Hopefully, they'll let me help their children when the time comes.

How about everyone else?
