I put a chariot-era campaign on the web, designed for DBA but usable for other systems: it was basically a battle generator. And I'm in the process of writing some 11th Century rules for Normans in the Mediterranean. Whilst they take mechanisms from various rule sets, they are, I believe, a new combination.

I often see poll questions relating to specific games, rules, and campaign systems. I wonder how many TMPers write their own rules?

(If so, what genres? Why? Are they complex or simple? Do others play them with you, and are they popular/accepted in your circle of gaming buddies?)
