Mike,

I have to agree with you. I live in a gaming wasteland. That is unless you count flippity cards and clickety minis and a little GW. I need to find an create new gamers as necessary. I too prefer the phrase "Gaming Ambassador." I've hooked up with some folks about 30 miles away. That helps, now all I need to do is get some locals involved. The most dreaded enemy of all "real life" has invaded in my quest.

That doesn't mean I'm going to stop. As I get my forces mobilized I will better be able to show people the "good News" about miniatures gmaes, including historicals. It's just going to take work. I can't expect loacl hobby and game shops to help out much simply because my interested do not fit their "marketing plans."

POLL DESCRIPTION

According to Pete Panzeri, writing in MWAN 129, the future of historical gaming requires unleashing and increasing "...the unparalleled effectiveness of 'hobby evangelism' of our game masters." He defines Gaming Evangelists as those game masters which "...push promotion of a venue and recruit new gamers."

Are you a "gaming evangelist"?
