As far as I'm concerned NMM is just another technique that may or may not be usefull depending on the mini and effect I want. When done well it can be striking, but when done poorly people tend to say a 5 year old could of done better with metalics and there is never a place in betweeen. It is not the be all and end all that the "Elite" and wanna be "Elite" would like the masses to think. Painting with NMM takes a lot longer than using metalics, it really only looks good on one off display pieces that are viewed from a fixed postition or the highlights really start to look screwwy, and it's difficult to keep the colors consitent throughout multiple mini's |
