Yes, although I have not collected them as such – my grandfather brought back about 30 cap badges from his service in WW1. Australian, British and Canadian units mostly. I've been tempted to add to them, but I quite like it as a discrete collection and think it has more value as such.

I remember my mother telling the story of the day (after the outbreak of WW2) when her dad pulled out a kit bag of pickelhaubes and German forage caps and tossed them on he fire saying, 'well, no one will ever want these, will they!'
