Hmm. Khusrau, remember this is about wargaming. A number of SF and fantasy battles have been included. I think you can make a good case that certain battles are more important for wargamers to know, not because they had lasting historical consequences but because they're frequently gamed or used as reference points.

A wargamer needs a battle with lots of decisions which could have been different, and often wants a colorful one. A historically important one which was decided before the first casualty is of no use to us, but Major Dundee fording a river in the face of French Lancers is.
