@TwinMirror Agreed! We show the seeds of the split between the US and its colony on Grissom in our future timeline (although Grissom is petty earth-like). Terran Americans aren't keen on Grissom getting "over-represented" in Congress and Americans on Grissom don't feel they're represented adequately.

Tensions are building and the recent incursion by the Darghaur isn't helping things. Terran Americans resent seeing so much of their taxes going to beef up Grissom's defenses and Grissom doesn't feel like they should have to fund the effort themselves after all, California wouldn't be expected to pay the whole bill to defend against an invasion from China.

Some of this might sound vaguely familiar . . . ;)

Best,

Shawn.

POLL DESCRIPTION
In the unofficial background material included in Tomorrow's War, war on Earth breaks out when the U.S. discovers an inhabitable planet through the stargate, but refuses to share with other countries.

In the future, should countries be able to lay claim to entire worlds? Or should colony worlds belong to the human race in general?
