Ivan DBA writes:

Phil Barker is very clear that 3.0 is his final version.

And anyone who thinks that DBA has gone through an excessive number of versions in 20+ years is either confusing it with WRG Ancients and DBM, or has completely unrealistic expectations.

All that said, I would not be surprised if DBA outlasts its author, and in time there could be future versions. It is already a remarkably enduring rule-set, and still going strong. The Sword and the Flame and Warhammer 40K are the only other rules I can think of that have comparable longevity (and Warhammer 40K is in 7th edition, with 8th probably not too far off). (There may be others, but those are the only two that occur to me).

And by longevity, I mean rules that have remained in print in one version or another, and still maintain a decent-sized active player base.
