LEDs are now much more reliable and much less expensive. You can get Philips 100w LEDs at Home Depot for less than $10. USD I just bought a 2 pack of 60w bulbs for about $5. USD

I call BS on the big brother stuff I could buy whatever I wanted until recently. I choose to convert for environmental and economical reasons.

I'm on the record bitching about the gummint telling me what kind of light bulbs I can buy.

However, I am preferring my LEDs over my small stockpile of incandescents. They are just too dim in comparison and hotter than blazes to work under.

To the extent the incandescent spurred alternate innovations, I 'spose I am personally better off despite the added expense.

Who was right supporters or the critics of the incandescent light bulb ban?
