Zulu came out when I was about 10, and I was told that my great-grandfather had sort of been there, and sort of hadn't. Fascinated me ever since.

It turned out that he marched out of Isandlwhana with Chelmsford, which saved his life. Then camped at Rourke's Drift the night of the battle, and later garrisoned it for the second part of the war. 2nd Bn, 24th (2nd Warwickshire) Rgt.
