I've written a set of rules for 1:18 scale figure WW2 gaming, and it's always been well-received.

GiantMonster wonders...

As a publisher of a series of games that utilizes toys as the primary playing pieces, I was wondering what everyone thought of using toys as game miniatures.

I ask this because I will frequently have bystanders walking past watching one of my demos, talking about the game being a kiddie game or just for kids because they see action figures and building blocks. While the games can be played by younger gamers, they were designed to be 'in depth' enough to be enjoyed by all ages.

What are your thoughts about using toys as miniatures? Are they too childish, or perfect for gaming?
