POLL DESCRIPTION
Korea in the 19th Century was the Hermit Kingdom, turning away foreigners.

In 1866, an American expedition went upriver to negotiate a trade agreement, but the ship ran aground. The Koreans used fire rafts to burn the ship, then fought the crew as they attempted to land.

In 1872, another U.S. expedition went upriver. When a Korean river fort opened fire, the Americans demanded an apology. When no apology was offered, a landing party attacked and seized three of the forts.

On a scale of 0 (no interest) to 10 (obsession), what is your level of interest in gaming U.S. colonial battles in Korea?
