Do Your Bases Tell a Story?

I had a few that used to but they wouldn't stop talking during games…complaining about the paint job, whining about how they'd do it differently if they were playing, carrying on about the shading being off…that kind of stuff.

They're gone now.

Biggest base issue I have isn't with my basing, it is with the sculpts doing the "Captain Morgan" on a rock, skull, fallen tree, dead body, whatever, which stays affixed to their footgear wherever they roam.

POLL DESCRIPTION
According to the Wargamers' Army Painting Guide from The Army Painter…
What are your bases going to look like? Your bases tells an important story about your army and defines the theme. Time invested in bases is never wasted.
Do you invest a lot of planning into the base design for your army? Or do you just want something that looks vaguely grassy?
