Hmph. I was going on "could be made into a decent movie/TV show" which is a much lower bar than "you could make money doing this in the present state of the film industry." I'm not sure any nominee in the entire poll could clear that bar. Bad enough I read Dune and had to sit through the first movie version. If anyone wants me to compare multiple versions, we'll be talking money--and a lot more than theater tickets and popcorn. But I fully agree: hard to believe porn stars or hookers would blame the customer base for poor sales the way which is currently fashionable in Hollywood. They certainly wouldn't go out of their way to insult people and then proposition them. ("You're a father and a Christian? That's hillarious! Wanna pay $25 USD to see me act even drunker than I am now?") |
