I began assembly-line painting back in the 90's. Been using it since. It takes me a while to finish a group, but when I do finish a batch, it usually means I've finished 20-40 figures!

Another key to getting figures painted, not listed, is to use simple block painting, followed by The Dip. I believe The Dip was listed in a previous poll, but it bears mentioning again: it is amazingly fast! My average brush time (time spent actually applying paint to a miniature) is less than 10 minutes, per figure, per batch of 20+ figures painted… By using simple block painting, followed by The Dip, I can blast through my painting, getting large numbers of figures completed, in little time, per figure; per group, I still spend many hours working on them. It is when I break it down to a per-figure time measurement, that I realize how much time I am saving. Cheers!
