I prefer a well constructed terrain layout, then nicely painted figures.

I signed up for a con game, where the GM was laying brown strips of felt on a bare table to represent roads.

I quickly went to look for another game in the same time slot

CPBelt wonders...

We talk a lot about people who like/dislike painting. What about actually setting up tables for games?

I have to admit, I have come to dislike setting up scenery for 25mm skirmish games. Just takes too much effort for me - physical and creative. I keep thinking I should just pull out some of my old Heroclix or Star Wars maps and be done!

Large scale games don't seem to require as much effort. Hill, some trees, maybe a building, and a big open field. grin

What about you guys?
