You can assume this all you want, but even at 28-32mm sizes, if the figures are not more "heroic" so the weapons can be made bulkier, you end up with snapped weaponry all the time.

I just don't believe an "accurately scaled" bayonet, rifle barrel, sword, etc would survive.
