I'm a luke-warm 7. As for Force on Force already covering to more recent events of this war: Not really.

Ambush Alley/Force on Force is more aimed at the American/Coalition side of the war and scenario wise it hasn't moved much beyond 2004. There are plenty of insurgent/fedayeen figures out there with AKs and RPGs, but not a whole lot of figures with anything else. Also, to my knowledge, there really aren't any figures in 15mm that cover western looking troops with Soviet style weapons (ie the Iraqi Security Forces). I think they do exist in 20mm but that's not my scale.

So if you want to do the 2003 war and the 2004 uprisings then you're in good shape with 15mm. Otherwise that's pretty much it for the Iraq War in 15mm. I'm sure Shawn and company are planning another book for the Iraq War so I'll wait for that and be happy doing the early stages of the war for now.

MarescialloDiCampo wonders...

How about Shia militias versus Iraqi ISF/IP government in 2005, 2008, and 2011 scenarios? A mix of US weapons, Iranian produced Russian weapons; Iraqi Security Forces changing sides mid-conflict, Coalition forces, and US Forces (active, Reserve, and Guard)...

Please rate your interest from zero (none) to 10 (obsession).
