If the title is unclear it will propably be passed by .If the contents are useful or choc full of info a forum search will reveal the contents.
Also if you post a query yourself relating to the vague thread someone who has bothered to check it out will post a link to it normally ,so no harm done..
bastinafication should be avoided.
