It's a great option. People should be allowed to change their minds at any time.

I always vote before I read the thread. Sometimes I'll read the posts and realize I misunderstood the (often) poorly worded question. And I'm thinking "Well, if THAT's what was asked, then my vote would be …" and I go back and change it.

Sometimes (and this is aimed at folks who insist on having polls with a billion choices) I'll select my Five Best War Movies Ever" selections, and then after I see the actual list, I'll spot a great flick that I somehow missed when I first scrolled through the billions. And that movie is better than one I picked, so I change.

Plus, sometimes, just for fun … I'll change my vote for no reason at all.

At the bottom of the Poll Results page, you're given the option to change your vote. Why? Is this just in case you accidentally voted incorrectly? Or is it an option so that you can "vote with the crowd"?

IMHO, if you change your vote simply because you see you're in the minority or just to go along with others, well...

I don't see a use for it.
