Why is this even a poll? You use the figures in non-historical battles or in a campaign game. Check please!

I am talking about figures that have a rather unique uniform, and they only appeared in one battle, if that.

I was reading the British Grenadier Scenario Book 2, and was scanning Spencer's Ordinary. The figure to man ratio is very low, so it called for 10 Queen's Rangers Hussars. The notes made the point that no one is going to get 10 such figures for one battle, so free free to substitute proxies.

Much the same comment is made for Lauzun's Legion Hussars in the Gloucester Point scenario.

However, I do have 10 Copplestone SYW Prussian Hussars, sans pelisse, and bought a bag of Old Glory Lauzun's Legion Hussars as lancers. I plan to get some Perry LL to even out the squadrons. The ones I have are in my painting queue.

Do you go out of your way to collect (pay hard money for) large units that can only be justified to use in one scenario?

Then, what do you do with them once that battle has been fought?
