It sounds like a good idea – but don't we have Wikipedia already? If the idea is to have a Wikipedia style board where the topic is discussed, edited, and maintained by the members – it will not be what any of us envision – as they say – Garbage in, garbage out.

...a Wargaming 101 section.

When I was at Historicon, I saw these great models of Civil War ironclads (which I know nothing about I just liked the models) would be great if I could find a page that would list manufacturers, major rule sets and maybe even a bit of advice in choosing scales, etc. to help me get started.

Similarly, I'm considering 6mm Napoleonics would be nice to know the rulesets out there, typical force size, etc.

I know most of that is on the message boards but takes maybe more work than my attention span warrants. grin

Would you like to see a section of brief "intro" articles on different areas of wargaming - sort of a revival of the old Reference Section of TMP?
