Oh yes. Constantly. I have a shelf of special compilation CDs made for various occasions, drawn from my vast period/traditional/classical/contemporary music library. High Fantasy, Horror, Pulp, Gangsters, Ancients, Colonials, ACW, Age of Reason, Jacobite rebellions, you name it, I might have it.

Inspired by these news announcements – link and link – do you play sound effects or thematic music while gaming? SFX might include battle sounds, monster effects, etc., while theme music might include French military marches for a Napoleonic wargame. I would assuming making "dakka-dakka-dakka" and "grrrrrr" tank sounds is a given, but that's an option as well. Playing ABBA during a Waterloo game is not considered thematic for the purposes of this poll, but is certainly considered within the realm of good taste.
