Have it in both hands, from 25 years computer work. Real culprit was computer mouse (now use a trackball) and the 'ergonomic' workstation craze. If you do computer work, ditch the mouse, ditch the keyboar trays, and put the keyboard up high enough that your forearms rest on the tabletop. Painting 25mm figures helped me regain control of fingers via biofeedback, it was actually suggested by doctor. I had both hand operated on in November 2000, and it is one of the best things I have done. My hands were beginning to atrophy, so I had little choice in the surgery option (that was after 4 doctors opinion). I begain painting again while my hands were still in a casts.

CPBelt remarks...

Well, I got diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists. Worse in my left, though I am right-handed. Also have some other unrelated neuro problems in both my arms. Explains all the pain I've been having and lack of hand control! I hate sleeping with braces all over me, though!

I have to be careful on the computer. My neurologist really got on me about modeling and how I use my arms/hands. I have to change my lifestyle. The usual drill. grin

CTS seems common. Just wondering how many modelers/gamers here have it, how it affected their hobby, and how they dealt with it. I'm trying/hoping to avoid surgeries!
