It is a pretty book. A bit over priced, and it felt not as organized as it could be. I know there was a lot to cover, but still.

There was some greviances with the initiative/movement system that date back to our issues with GDW's Space: 1889 Soldier's Compendium.

We have opted to remain with the playtest revisions to Space: 1889's Soldiers Companion from Bob Giglio for the period. It allows us to scale up or scale down our scenarios easily enough.

POLL DESCRIPTION

Writing in the June issue of Miniature Wargames, authors Bob Barnetson and Bruce McFarlane reached this conclusion about Black Powder:

Overall, Black Powder is a solid game that is easy to learn and contains no major deficiencies.

How do you rate Black Powder? On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is terrific and 1 is terrible.
