I'ld always leave the main window frames, they're not that easy to quickly knock out.

If the window has the thinner dividers between panes you could damage some, leave some intact, to get a natural looking variety.

In planning how to convert some HO model RR buildings into 15mm "scenics," I am wondering whether or not to include the kit window frames.

They may improve how the buildings look, yet are going to be another modelling step to do.

Since the defenders (assuming that the buildings are occupied) would have knocked the glass panes out anyway, and might well have knocked out some of the frames, too, is there much point in including window frames?
