POLL DESCRIPTION

pphalen wonders...

Based upon the usual knee-jerk reaction here every time the company is mentioned, I started to wonder what would actually happen if GW were to go out of business?
other (explain)
Something else.
nothing
Other companies would pick up the slack, like when other Big Names went under (Ral Partha, TSR, Avalon Hill, etc.)
GW would never die
Somebody else would buy the rights and keep on cranking the same stuff
boon for historical gaming
It would broaden the appeal of historical gaming
minor effect to the hobby
People would lose their jobs, incomes and possibly homes. Then the new blood their high street stores draws in would dry up and less new people would learn about the hobby. Other companies that also stock their goods would probably see a drop in revenue and possibly the same would happen to them. I think it would have a minor negative ripple effect on the hobby that would sort itself out in a few years. Then as they went bust people would stop moaning about the evil empire and hark on about the good old days when GW was the daddy of all gaming companies and move on and find a new bad guy to hate that does what it does well..
no opinion
I don't know.
not a Fantasy/Sci-Fi gamer
So I don't care.
it would impact the entire hobby
It would have a fairly large ripple effect on miniature wargaming
boon for console gaming
Console game sales would go up
Yay!
The greedy bastards deserved it!
