Most plastic figures don't come with assembly instructions.

OMG! I have a simple level Gundam model on my table. It didn't have instructions! The more basic level of this model did. I bought this one to be the "commander" … the troops will have to wait.

Also, this is one of the main reasons I prefer to buy other people's job lots of assembledish and paintedish minis and convert the snot out of them (price and challenge being the other two). Assembling nine Necron weapons off the sprue cured me of wanting to buy NIB Necrons for the next decode or so …

I just did 56 Victrix Napoleonic Austrians, and am starting a box of 40+ Perry Prussians. Took three multi-hour sessions to complete, and I tried to streamline the process. Just glued to base for now, so still have to level the bases with a ground cover before priming. Lots of work, honestly.

What would you advise new folks to do to make the process simpler, to encourage them to continue, to get very good satisfaction after completion?
