I first became involved in the gaming industry in 1980 when I sold a module to TSR, who never published it in its entirety but did use elements from the module in several others without giving me any credit. Then in 1985, I went to work for a Play by Mail games company which within a year was out of business due to the internet among other things, Whitemanticore can tell you about that one as he painted one of the covers for one of their rule books. I've written articles since then but nothing major although I now volunteer my time as a forums moderator and demo person for a sci-fi wargame. Someday, I would love to own my hobby store but at the moment the finances aren't there at the moment. I have no illusion about getting rich doing it but it would be a nice way to spend my retirement years. |

Tyler Provick wonders: Have you ever considered, no matter how briefly, trying to get involved in the gaming industry, either painting for commission, writing rules or producing a line of miniatures? |
