I love and respect Jervis. I seriously would buy the man a beer. However, the way the rules are written he is right. But, and this is a big but, the way every new army book coming out is looking it's gone from HeroHammer to MonsterHammer. Their was a brief period where one character would not dominate since deathstar units would. The constant addition of giant monstrous mounts has changed that. The sales department screwed Jervis out of his well deserved gloating about battlines and forced MonsterHammer down our throats.

POLL DESCRIPTION

Writing in White Dwarf about the new edition of the Warhammer rules, Jervis Johnson explains how the changes in the new edition affect tactics:

The overall effect is that a single powerful unit can no longer dominate the battlefield, which makes it more important to have a solid battleline.
