My home PC monitor is dying so it runs a tad dark and add to that a monitor cable that decides to cause a blue/red flicker every now and then. The photos on TMP still look reasonable - and perfect on my Mac at work.

When I upload pictures to Bill, I generally run them thru Photoshop first and adjust the levels - mostly to remove the yellow cast caused by internal lighting. I switch the mode to CMYK to do so, and since I use Levels to adjust, I can find the spike or valley in each channel to balance the colors - even if my monitor is spotty. I then drop it back to RGB (something that usually darkens the photo a bit if you're not careful) Y'know, I haven't asked Bill if he's had to further adjust the brightness...

POLL DESCRIPTION

We run a lot of pictures at TMP, in the news items, Workbench articles, and so forth. Sometimes the photos come in too light or too dark, and they are adjusted to look good... to me. However, what looks good on one monitor may not look good on another...

So, how do the pictures at TMP look to you?
