I think ginormous games are more a 'young and keen' sort of thing, older guys have the 'been there, done that, washed the car with T-shirt' sort of attitude.

My instinct is the opposite – gents at the club were once playing with thousands of 28s across three joined tables, and I exclaimed that it would take me 30 years to paint that many figures. Their reply was suitably laconic: it did.
