I vote for AE-WWII.

The weirdness level can be adjusted to your taste ranging from straight out convention to spooky occult to crazy weird science. Lots of flexibility in the army creation too. Good balance between weird and conventional too.

It's a great skirmish game that plays very well with between 6 and 20 miniatures and a vehicle or two. Detail is nice in that many weapons have unique characteristics (rather than generic rifle, SMG, LMG, etc).

The drive mechanic works real well and the Special Orders always throw some surprising fun. Scenarios are objective based and secret secondary objectives makes the game even more tricky.

Awesome background fluff too.
